Gas bosses set to hold drop-in sessions at Kincaidston

By Peter Quinn

Following the explosion at a house on Gorse Park, Kincaidston last month, the Scottish Gas Network have announced this week that they will be holding drop-in sessions at the local community pavilion.

The drop-in sessions are in preparation for an upgrade to the gas network across the Kincaidston estate, which is scheduled to begin in the next two weeks.

Concerns have been raised by the residents of the Kincaidston estate about the safety of their gas systems as the local community continues to recover from the incident on October 22. Despite SGN assurances that the gas network in the area remains safe, they have agreed to perform an upgrade across the community to replace old service pipes.

An SGN representative will answer questions and address concerns of residents at the drop-in sessions, which are scheduled for the following times:

Thursday 25 November: 3pm-5:30pm

Friday 26 November: 12noon-6pm

Monday 29 November: 10am-5pm
