The Big Read is an annual event at Edinburgh Napier University, but for the first time ever UWS students are also getting involved.
Students are able to vote on which book they would like to receive, free of charge, at polling stations around their campuses. There are four entries contending for top spot – with both Edinburgh Napier and UWS shortlisting two each.
The event is run and promoted by Edinburgh Napier’s MSc Publishing students, and the winning book is published by their very own Merchiston publishers.
Voting began in November 2019, and is still ongoing – but time is running out to decide.
UWS News spoke to two of this year’s organisers, to find out about the ethos behind the Big Read.
