The draw for the Third Round of the Irn-Bru Cup takes place this afternoon at Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket.
Ross County, Dunfermline Athletic, Queen of the South, Alloa Athletic, Arbroath, East Fife, Montrose and Edinburgh City are joined in the hat by Irish sides Sligo Rovers and Bohemians, as well as new St Mirren manager Oran Kearney’s former side Coleraine, English non-league Sutton United and Welsh Premier League runners-up Connah’s Quay Nomads.
Two Premiership ‘Colt’ teams have also made the next round, albeit after defeating other youth sides, with St Mirren and Motherwell both represented.
There’s no chance of a repeat of last year’s final however, with Inverness Caledonian Thistle being knocked out in the first round by Dunfermline, and Dumbarton losing an all League One tussle on Saturday against Montrose on Saturday.
Likewise one of last year’s favourites, The New Saints, found themselves falling at an early hurdle against League Two Queen’s Park.
You can view the draw live on Facebook, and we’ll have news and reaction later this afternoon.
