Police Scotland say they have found a car which they believe was used in the murder of a man outside his home in Airdrie.
Garry More, 32, was reported to have suffered “significant injuries” when a number of shots were fired at him in Gartness Drive, Airdrie on Thursday.
Emergency services rushed to the busy residential area of North Lanarkshire, but Mr More died at the scene.
There has been “limited response” to appeals so far, and detectives believe witnesses may be reluctant to come forward with information.
The suspect is believed to have sped off in a white Skoda Fabia, with a number of people inside.
The same model and colour of car was later found burnt out near Craigmaddie Road in Balmore, Milngavie, and is being examined by forensic teams.
Police Scotland have confirmed that the car was stolen on August 2 this year from the Pollockshields area of Glasgow, although its original registration may have been changed.
