A DECISION is expected later this afternoon on Aberdeen’s planned stadium move to Kingsford, near Westhill.
A meeting between Aberdeen City Council bosses is currently underway, with the original plans being put on hold last October.
The club’s plan to build a £50m stadium including training facilities has met objections from a small number of local residents, who believe the stadium would cause major congestion on nearby roads and that “hooliganism” would rise as a result of an influx of travelling supporters.
The football club however claim the planned development would bring millions into the local economy and create more than 400 jobs.
