A 12-year-old boy has been left needing surgery after an “unacceptable” attack at Braehead shopping centre.
He was with friends at the popular Glasgow shopping centre when they were chased by a group of older teenage boys and assaulted.
The boy and his friends were caught near Krispy Kreme at 2.30pm, Sunday November 12th where they were assaulted by a 12-13-year-old said to be 5’6” tall, slim, with red hair, shaved at the side and combed back on top, wearing a black jacket and tracksuit bottoms.
Detective Constable Laura Watt from Paisley said: “This type of violent behaviour is completely unacceptable and enquires are ongoing to trace the person responsible.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the Braehead area on Sunday afternoon and may have noticed a group of teenage boys at the rear of the shopping centre, or indeed the assault itself to please come forward.”
