REACTION has been filtering in today (Dec 5) after the introduction of new legislation in Scotland aiming to stop smokers lighting up in cars whilst in the presence of someone under the age of 18.
A maximum fine of £1,000 has been set for those committing the act, which was first put forward by Lib Dem MSP Jim Hume.
It is hoped the change will stop the effects of second-hand smoking.
