Celtic captain Scott Brown believes that Celtic can scare Barcelona when the sides meet at Celtic Park tomorrow night.
He believes that if Celtic can play a high pressing style they can get into the faces of their Catalan opponents.
The Hoops skipper stressed: “They can pick passes and we have to be able to close them down and make them scared of us.”
Brown insists that Celtic have to believe that they can create chances as well as minimising Barcelona’s chances.
The Celtic captain believes that the crowd can play an important part in the match, as it is a tough place for any team to come.
He said: “If we can get an early shot or corner the fans will get behind us.”
Asked about Barcelona’s style of play Brown admitted: “Barcelona seem to keep getting better and better but it’s all about how we can be patient, relax and try to keep the ball.
“Their front three is excellent to watch. Their movement is fantastic but it’s more about how brave we are.”
Brown went on to say that the home side have to be courageous on the ball, as the away side will press them high. He also felt that the home side would have to match their opponents in being good off the ball as well.
Looking back on the previous game between the sides the skipper said: “The result against Barcelona was hard to take but we have got points against Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach.”
The previous meeting between the sides in the group finished in a 7-0 win for Barcelona.
