Animal drugs stolen in Ayr vet break-in

AYRSHIRE vet surgery has warned that stolen drugs from break-in could be dangerous

County Vets, who provides a wide range of veterinary services to all animals in the Ayrshire area, was broken into between the hours of 11pm on Monday night and 7am Tuesday morning, according to police.

The drugs that were stolen are specifically for treating animals and employees of the surgery warned that if misused, the drugs could be very detrimental to the heath of humans or animals.

Police say the investigation is still at an early stage and are appealing for any information that could help their enquiry. Officers have been going from door-to-door in the area around Heathfield Road asking residents if they know anything or had seen anything suspicious on the night of the break-in.

Anyone with information should contact Troon Police Office at 101 or  call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
