Who are the Winners of the Scottish Transfer Window?

By Sean Duthart

The Scottish transfer window is in full swing, and the dramas are already starting to heat up. So, who’s signing the game winners, the players to win the league or to avoid the dreaded drop. Whose board is getting it in the neck? Let’s bring in Sean to go through the winners and losers of the window so far.

I spoke to three football fans from different supports and asked if they are happy with their spending? John a Ayr United fan said that currently he is happy with the club’s transfer activity but would like the club to more open on who they are in theory targeting without giving to much away. He did go onto say that the boys they have signed from Celtic this season and have been great additions with one more coming in he is excited about his sides chances this season.

“We need more clarity from the board” John Ayr United fan

Jamie a Celtic fan wasn’t happy with the lack of transfer activity within the club, even stating that they haven’t replaced Kyogo who they lost over a year ago, also mentioning Stephen Welsh who was recalled from Motherwell but did state that he has failed to take any of his chances given before and is very hesitant but still has faith that Celtic will win the league.

“We still haven’t replaced Kyogo. He left over a year ago” Jamie Celtic fan

Finally, Leon a Rangers fan was very upbeat about Ranger’s transfer movement especially with the three incomings, Skov Olsen, Tochi Chukwuani and Tuur Rommens respectfully. He went onto to speak about who will win the league. Bluntly he said that if Celtic drop anything to Hearts in the upcoming game on Sunday, the league title will go to Hearts or Rangers. I did ask who would prevail in the title race without using bias and use logic and the answer was the same, Rangers will prevail as he thinks they have recruited the best and are the winners so far of the transfer window.

with a few days left in the transfer window, it will be very interesting to see what happens and who are the real winners of the transfer window.
