We have a Dream: An American Dream

By Riordan Craig

Scotland go into tonight’s match with Denmark with a dream to reach the World Cup in America.

A win tonight and the Tartan Army will be packing their bags and travelling to their first appearance at the tournament since 1998.

Leon McNiven, LMC Vlogs on YouTube and TikTok, will be in attendance at Hampden tonight. He said: “I think Scotland have got a very good chance.

“We’ve got our 12th man behind us tonight: the fans. Hampden’s sold out, all 51,000 seats. The fans will be up for it, the players hopefully will be up for it as well.

“But I couldn’t write Denmark off cause they’re a very good side, which has been proven in the table. Of course they’re top, one point ahead of us, but I can see Scotland going out and performing tonight. Hopefully getting the result that will send us to the World Cup, which every fan dreams of.”

The importance of the Scotland fans has been highlighted by Scotland boss Steve Clarke. Leon spoke about the importance of getting the fans on side quickly: “It’s very key. The first goal in the game, if there is one, is key as well.

“If Scotland go 1-0 down the fans will be nervous. Yes, they’ll still sing but I’m pretty sure the nerves will take over. It’s huge, the fans have got to be on the side of the players tonight and I’m sure they will be. They’ll be in full voice as I’ve seen all over social media.

“The fans are up for it. Hopefully, Scotland put in a performance worth living for and a good memory tonight.”
