Scottish Premiership wildcard: Dundee United

Tannadice is a place for entertainment this season

So far this season, Dundee United have been the team to watch this season, from European nights in Tayside to Premiership classics.

This summer, United manager Jim Goodwin built on a strong fourth place finish, adding in 13 fresh faces, including Luca Stephenson rejoining on loan from Liverpool. The Tangerines sit third in the Premiership going into their sixth league match as they welcome Kilmarnock to Tannadice – a Kilmarnock side who knocked United out of the Premier Sports Cup earlier in the campaign, but are still chasing their first SPFL victory under new boss Stuart Kettlewell.

UWS Newsroom spoke exclusively to Andrew Winton, a Dundee United Supporter better-known as “DUFC Stats” on X (formerly Twitter).

A confident Winton said: “It feels to me that United have goals in them going forward. [Zach] Sapsford up front has looked a very good signing, and the front three against Aberdeen were Ivan Dolcec, who’s scored all the goals, albeit, he’s a bit like a Rudi Skacel in that he scores lots but doesn’t do a huge amount else. And Amar Fatah – the three of them we’re great at hounding Aberdeen high up the pitch.”

Winton will hope that continues against Killie. To hear more of Andrew’s views, listen here:
