SCOTT BROWN’S Ayr United have an opportunity to finish top of the Scottish Championship tonight.

‘The Honest Men’ head to Lesser Hampden, knowing a win could see them move to the top of the second division for the first time since the start of February.

Queen’s Park, like Ayr United, got back to winning ways at the weekend after a four goal triumph at Raith Rovers and their first victory since their monumental win at Ibrox in the cup.

The South Ayrshire side have hit a slump in performance with only one win from their last four, although that included defeats against the country’s most in-form team, Hibernian, and a draw and defeat against title opposition, Falkirk and Livingston.

Brown and Steven Whitaker will hope their weekend’s 4-1 win over Airdrieonians will be all the inspiration needed to get a win and secure all three points.
