Kamala aims for three points: U.S Presidential race

By Paul Cooper

THE Basketball Community in America seem to have the name of Kamala Harris in their minds as the run up to polling results reaches top speed.

Kamala was given a huge boost when NBA star LeBron James endorsed her from his X (formerly Twitter) account on October 31.

LeBron said: “What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids, my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!”

The LA Lakers star showing his support for the current Vice President has given renewed hope to Kamala’s campaign and reinforced thoughts that she might just pip Donald Trump to be the next President, and the first woman in the highest office.

This could come from LeBron and Mr Trump’s previous beef when the former President tried to persuade him to sign for the New York Nicks as a young player in 2010, then critisised him and other NBA players for taking the knee in 2020.

Kamala spoke with possible future NBA stars at a youth programme in Philadelphia on October 27 as reported by Forbes Breaking News on their YouTube channel.

Philadelphia is already a Democratically governed state and the passionate speech Kamala shared with the young hopefuls, could go a long way to securing that.

Kamala watched the session and offered encouragement throughout, telling them: “I just love seeing our young leaders and the coach has been telling me how well you guys are doing, how hard you are working, how disciplined you are and how smart you are.”

“The reason I do what I do is because of you all, when I look at you I know the future of our country is so bright”.
