Team GB runner and Olympian Derek Hawkins is currently a UWS sports student, today he took time out from his own training, his studies and his coaching role with Hawkins Running to speak to UWS final year Ba Sports Journalism students about his career to date.

Joining him is the president of Scottish Athletics John Rodger who outlined the importance of sport for Scotland and how others can get involved and contribute.
